Eclipse Transportation’s diverse staff has added a new member to the team.  Pete Globa started on December 5^th as our new Global Sales Manager.  To start off his new tenure at Eclipse, we have done a short Question & Answer piece to help familiarize people with the new face within the company.

Q: What are you looking forward to most about starting at Eclipse?
A:  The opportunity of working for a company that provides great customer service, has strong brand recognition, cutting edge technology and has fun doing it.

Q: What is your most recent sales experience?
A: Account manager/new business development for a green technology company.

Q: What strengths do you bring with you to Eclipse?
A: Primarily, industry and sales experience; I previously worked in the corporate sedan industry for 10 years. Also, since that time, I’ve developed an extensive list of contacts that I look forward to calling and introducing to Eclipse.

Q: What experience do you have in the transportation industry? How do you feel this experience will help you at Eclipse?
A: I worked as a driver, groups’ coordinator and as an Account Development Manager/New Sales from 1992-2001. I will be able to use that experience (plus the technological advances that have occurred since then) when meeting with prospective clients to discuss and solve their ground transportation needs.

Q: What trait you possess do you feel will help you succeed most as Global Sales Manager?
A: Providing excellent customer service.

“From 2008 to 2010 in Minnesota, there were 89 traffic fatalities during the month of December in which 24 of these deaths were due to drunk driving,” –Minnesota Criminal Law Blog.  Aside from the dangers that come from driving impaired, Minnesota State Patrol has also stepped up drunken driving enforcement throughout the state, which they say have had a direct correlation to the number of arrests declining.  With the snow starting to fall, Minnesota roads are only becoming more dangerous, and the holiday seasons tend to bring more drunk drivers to the tarmac than any other time of the year.
